“Curious” only because it included a few of the early-bottled 2023s, and then jumped to the 2021 Smaragds, leapfrogging over most of the ‘22s, about which I can only infer that the everyday ‘22s are sold out and the Smaragds may not have been bottled yet. In any case, I am always both privileged and flushed with pleasure to taste these often beatific wines.
These were tasted and sipped every which way. The fridge was much too cold for them (which I tried to mitigate, with limited success) so the final time I tasted them it was at 60º and using only the Jancis glass. I found all of them to be moving targets, and even as I tried to locate through-lines, these notes are likely to shape-shift with each new exposure.
